Slightly gold in color, with pungent, pure aromas of grapefruit and pine touched up by a whiff of flinty smoke. Round yet minerally in the mouth, with pink grapefruit and bright lime flavors. Long and tangy on the finish, with a crystalline aftertaste. Imported by Winebow.

If you like aromatic expressions of Pinot Grigio, look for a wine from the Alto Adige appellation like this wine from Tramin. Cool-climate winemaking tends to add layers of peach and almond blossom beyond characteristic aromas of apple and pear. The mouthfeel here is creamy and rich.

Packaged in an easy screw-cap bottle, this fresh Italian Pinot Grigio would work beautifully with fried calamari or zucchini flowers stuffed with mozzarella. The wine is compact and lean with tones of stone fruit and citrus.
