Size marks this wine. It’s huge in flavor, swamping the palate with black and red cherries, pomegranates, sweet rhubarb pie, coffee and vanilla. At the same time, it’s fairly light in color, and certainly light and silky in body, with crisp acids. Shows enough complexity to serve with your finest entrées.

This is a really beautiful Pinot Noir. It’s rich in flavor, but also strong in structure, with good acidity and firm, dry tannins framing a silky texture. The flavors suggest raspberries, cherries and vanilla cream, accented with smoky sweet oak. Drink now.

This is not a particularly successful bottling. There’s a minty edge to the flavor, and the thinness of fruit allows the alcohol to show as heat. On the plus side there is dryness and silkiness.

A good, dry Pinot Noir, tart in acidity, and showing flavors of sour cherries, currants and beef jerky, sweetened with caramelized oak. It’s a little rustic, but elegant. Drink now.

A very nice Pinot Noir. Rich and ripe in jammy, pie-filling black cherry, currant and cola flavors, with complex notes of dusty spices and smoky oak, it’s dry and full-bodied, and ready to drink over the next few years.

Ready to drink now, this is an elegant, drily crisp Pinot, ready to stand back and let the food shine. Pale in color and light- to medium-bodied, it has savory flavors of cherries, oranges, cola and spice, with fine coastal acidity.

Supple and elegant, with complex flavors of red cherries, cola, anise and smoky vanilla, and a sprinkle of orange zest in the finish. The mouthfeel could be a little firmer, but it’s a pleasing Pinot for early drinking.

Very tasty, but simpler in structure and content to Tudor’s regular Pinot. Opens with cola, raspberry and white chocolate aromas that lead to very deliciously ripe candy-jammy flavors of raspberries and spice. Seductive in its way, a silky smooth wine of great charm.

Has a heavy, jellied taste that detracts from elegance. Hard to tell why, for the fruit certainly got ripe in cherries, cola and raspberries, and acidity is fine. Drink now.

Here’s a rich and tasty regional Pinot Noir. It is not especially complex, but is well-structured, with lush but soft tannins and crisp coastal acidity. The flavors are in a nice tension between berries and cherries and earthier herbal notes. Goes down like silk, and will pair well with a wide range of foods.
