You'll want to decant this dense, dark gem of a wine before drinking it, because it needs to time to unfurl its many layers of chocolate, pepper and spice. It's a Bordeaux-style red--traditional, Old World, restrained--but still has strength and personality enough to hold its own against bolder dishes. Very unique and elegant at the same time.
