You can taste the warm sunshine in the spicy berry flavors of this Zin. It comes right up to the edge of overripe, with suggestions of bitter raisins, then pulls back to let the cassis and cherry liqueur shine through.

A stylish, fashionable wine that feels plump and rich and classy in the mouth. It’s a bit too soft, but shows lovely flavors of cherries, red currants, mocha and sweet oak, and the finish is thoroughly dry. Drink now.

Not an easy wine to appreciate now. It’s tannic, and the fruit is fresh and primary, with the sweet, candied taste of a chewy raspberry twist. Still, there’s something complex and interesting going on. It’s not just another overripe Zin. Give it a year or two to come around.

This lovely Sauvignon Blanc is a little sweet in honey. But the acidity is crisp, and there’s a fine mineral undertow to the fresh peach, citrus and green apple flavors, so the finish feels dry and clean.

Very rich, dry and full-bodied, with strong tannins. Almost old school, with its earthy, herbaceous tinge to the blackberry and currant fruit. A bit cumbersome now, but could develop over the years.

The vineyard is on the Rutherford Bench. The wine is rich and deeply flavored, with black and red cherry flavors, but it’s also quite tannic. Shows a hard-edged astringency that makes it tough and accentuates the dryness. Morisoli has been home to many famed bottlings, and this one should develop over the next 6–8 years, at least.

This is a Pinot that’s too soft, almost flabby in texture. The softness accentuates the ripeness of the raspberry and coffee flavors, making them a little cloying.

An interesting, enjoyable wine that straddles the line between age-me and drink-me-now. It’s ripe and forward in sunny blackberry and cherry fruit, dry and balanced, with a tasteful edge of oak. But it’s so balanced, it should hang in there for a decade.

A fine Sauvignon Blanc, ripe, dry and pure in pineapple, lime green apple and oak flavors. Feels a little sweet and simple in the finish, but a fancy, crisp wine.

Simple in buttered popcorn and toast flavors, this Chard has underlying flavors of pineapples. It’s a dry wine, crisp in acidity. Made in the popular style for drinking now.
