The roble in the name indicates oak aging, but maybe this wine could have done without that oak, because the aromas and flavors are pickled and funky. Beyond that, there’s candied cherry fruit and some beet flavor, while the feel, tannins and texture all seem to be in place. Simply stated, the oak on this wine hinders rather than helps.

Young and boisterous, but nice and tasty. The color is violet, while the aromas are unchained and saturated. Flavors of black plum, ripe grapes and rubber make for uncommon richness, while the finish is sizable and real. Full tannins and some acidic punch ensure that it won’t be taken lightly. Made by the people at La Legua.
