Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This Nebbiolo-based rosé from northern Italy offers a brilliant color and refreshing zest in the mouth but lacks overall intensity. There are however delicate notes of small red fruit and white stone and a cookie or peach-cobbler-like tone. Pair with light appetizers and salads.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
The Valdinaria has evolved quickly. The nose is muted, there are low intensity aromas of pear and green plums with a touch of earthiness. It is crisp with plenty of acidity, but there is not enough fruit to give it balance, resulting in a slightly angular wine.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
The Valdinara is a soft, seductive wine showing plenty of jammy fruit, and a pleasant smoky spice. On the finish it is a touch stemmy, but it is so slight that it adds an exotic edge to the wine. Pleasant, not very intense and easy to like.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
The Favorita (known as Vermentino in other regions of Italy) is not a particularly common grape in Piedmont. This Valdinera is a light, friendly, somewhat simple wine with flavors of grapefruit and flowers. A natural match with seafood.
