The producer suggests serving this delicately perfumed Sauvignon with cheese and sliced ham, and that’s not a bad idea. The wine is crisp and firm and has the natural acidity to keep your palate refreshed.

Here’s a Picolit with passito-like intensity of dried apricots, honey and candied fruit. The wine boats a saturated golden color with amber highlights a creamy, luscious finish. It also has a very slight note of petroleum that can be characteristic of this rare variety.

Here is a dark and impenetrable blend of Refosco (50%), Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with thick aromatic layers of spice, jammy berry, leather and tobacco. There’s not much fruit here except for dried prunes and plums and the wine offers nicely polished tannins on the close.

Simple, clean and fresh, this is a no-fuss Sauvignon that offers all the vibrant aromas of exotic fruit and chopped mint associated with the grape. Its lean, compact texture and bright acidity make it a pleasure to drink and pair with food.
