A single quinta vintage from Vallegre, fresh and spicy, with soft tannins and delicious, juicy, fruity flavors. It’s easy but elegant, the only hint of real depth coming right at the end, with the final, firmer structure.

Good dark colored, soft wine. It has great ripe fruits, sweet tannins and a delicious caramel and black fruit jam character. Ripe and balanced but not for long-term aging.

Vallegre, part of the Barros group, owns Quinta da Vista Allegre just downriver from Pinhão on the Douro. This 2007 starts softly, then reveals intensity of sweet tannins, blackberry fruits, crushed strawberries, followed by a firmer structure. The wine has balance allied to fine acidity. Medium-term aging.
