Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Smells a bit too much like canned fruit and applesauce, while the palate is heavy, chunky and tastes of creamy, baked white fruits. Thick and decadent, with ample oak, vanilla and spice.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Aromas of brick dust, sweet spice, rubber and leather are good if you’re not seeking saturated berry fruit, while the palate is starchy and grabby, with flavors of stewed berry, tomato, leather and earth. Raspberry is detectable on the thin finish, but so is a soupy flavor. Decent wine with some faults.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Generic melon and peach aromas precede a slightly forced and sweet palate with melony flavors and some tail-end bitterness. The finish is creamy and shows vanilla as well as peach and toast notes. Very basic Chardonnay given the price.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
An elevated, higher-quality style of Patagonian Pinot Noir. Verum has ripe, agile fruit aromas accented by bacon and vanilla from the barrel, while the balanced palate houses plucky cherry and raspberry flavors. Dry and spicy late, with delicacy. Drink now through 2011.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Somewhat jammy and soupy on the nose, with a flavor profile that follows suit; it tastes slightly stewed and spicy, with both sweet fruit flavors and some bitterness. Finishes much like a soup or stew, with herbal, earthy notes. Adequate but not super fresh or fruity.

Wet stone and poached pear on the nose entice you to take a sip of this Sauv Blanc/Gewurtz blend. Tiny bubbles fill the glass upon pouring into the glass but not noticeable on the palate. No apparent acid but the fresh peach and pear cascade across the palate in a delicate manner reminiscent of the mist coming off of a waterfall. Pair with oysters or fresh shrimp tossed with light citrus juice.
