Attractive grapefruit and herb aromas and flavors mark the bouquet and palate of this French sparkler. There’s a touch of anise or licorice in the mouth, and a dry spice note on the foamy finish. The soft feel gives it great appeal, while the solid flavors set it apart from the sweet set.

Apple and hay aromas get it going, followed by spicy, slightly cinnamon-tinged apple flavors. Finishes with toast and seems solid on the tongue. Nothing outrageous or offputting; right down the center as sparklers go. Imported by Cannon Wines Limited.

Extremely light and yeasty, there are subtle whiffs of baked apple and sweet cracker in the nose, but no real weight in the mouth. Neutral green-apple fruit and a pleasantly beery finish, with just a hint of bitterness.

Attractive, mild floral and white-pepper aromas and flavors show in this even, light sparkler, but a weird element somewhere between underripe vegetables and a chemical note detracts considerably. It's soft on the palate and closes with modest length, the good and bad elements struggling for the upper hand on the finish.
