Lots of oak results in aromas of bacon, charred beef, cinnamon and heavy berry fruit. The wine is big and clangy, but not harsh. The flavors of berries mixed with greens and vanilla are nervy, while in the end the wine shows a solid mouthfeel and decent structure.

Light on fruit but loaded with mocha and milk chocolate aromas. The palate is lean to average in feel and lightly stewed tasting, with creamy, soupy red berry flavors as the backdrop. Finishes with a persistent baked flavor and a final dollop of milk chocolate.

Opens with dried red fruit and cinnamon aromas, but after that the mouth is creamy and grabby, with bland fruit and then a wave of vanilla cream and milk chocolate on the finish. A sticky wine that doesn’t fully pass the balance test.

Rusty in color with a neutral, light-styled nose. This wine shows all of its age via lean apple skin and cherry flavors. It’s a bit acidic and stripped down, but deep inside there’s adequate tobacco, leather and coffee notes.

Stemmy and raw smelling; similar in the mouth. The palate is narrow and sheer, while the flavors lean toward tart red cherry and rhubarb. Peppery and underwhelming.

This blend of 85% Tempranillo and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon is light and leafy but not dirty or harsh. It’s a thin-sided, tangy sort of wine with as much citrus as there is berry fruit. For something aged and mild, it’s pretty good but not what you’d call substantial. Imported by Luneau USA Inc.

Rough and leathery, with roasted black fruit and burnt-leaf aromas. The palate has a clacky, sharp feel and flavors of dried, baked berry fruits and leaves. Hard, roasted and leathery red wine.
