Made from a selection of vineyard plots and aged in new wood, this is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. There are soft tannins and fresh acidity along with some ripe but soft fruit. Ready to drink now, but could go another three or four years.

The top wine from the Buzet cooperative is this splendidly ripe, rich blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for a year in new oak, it is ripe and smooth, and packed with tannins and dense fruit. An impressive wine that is showing well now, and will for another 5-6 years.

A simple, soft red with flavors of red berries and light tannins. This is a easy wine, which can be served slightly chilled, as well as working well with light meat dishes.

One of the single estate wines produced by the Buzet cooperative, this is a dense, rich but tannic wine which big raisin and black fruit flavors. It is a solid wine, with hints of wood, and will certainly age over several years.

Marketed by the Buzet cooperative, which sells over 90% of the local production.. This is a smooth, silky wine with a light tannic element and flavors of tarry fruit and herbs. Finishes with some bitterness, which gives the wine a medicinal edge.

Apart from making its own branded wines, the go-ahead Buzet cooperative sells a number of wines from privately-owned estates. This wine is firmly in the tradition of Bordeaux blends, with its dry tannins and firm, licorice and bitter chocolate flavors. It would be worth aging for 2 more years.

The Buzet co-op’s top brand, this is big, powerful and rich. It is dominated by blackberry jelly and sweet plums, as well as firm tannins. The palate is weighty, solid, maybe missing freshness but certainly giving good intensity.
