I THINK THIS WINE WAS ALREADY PUBLISHED - SENT IT TWICE. On top of pear, apple and acacia, the nose of this luminous white awards notes of wild flower, kiwi or cut grass. It delivers great vibrancy and is tight and tonic in the mouth.

Here is a firm, extracted and well-built Aglianico (80%) and Piedirosso blend that benefits from decanting a few hours before being served. Aromas of ruby pomegranate, black cherry and blueberry are backed by territory-driven notes of ash and granite slate. A balanced wine; it should be enjoyed with beef, lamb or cheese-based dishes.

There’s a nice use of wood here with creamy concentration and toasted notes that are made obvious but do not overwhelm the fruit. The nose spins black fruit, prune, sweet chewy cherry, vanilla, cider, almond and coffee. The blend is all native grapes: 45-35-20 Abbuoto, Primitivo and Piedirosso.

This is a beautiful and highly recommended white that is deliciously redolent of honey, stone fruit, pear, bee’s wax and wild sage. The nose has good complexity and the mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with good length on the finish.

Camarato is a beautiful wine and the 2004 vintage shows impressive harmony and elegance. The wine opens with aromas of chocolate, black cherry and spice. In the mouth, it shows firm, enduring tannins. Pair it with a succulent steak.

Cecubo is a thick and well concentrated wine that opens with meaty aromas of smoked bacon and blackberry followed by cola, barbecue sauce and sweet spice. It’s a unique and distinctive wine that ends with a smooth, firm feel.

Made from a very old clone of Falanghina (a grape whose history spans back to the Roman Empire), this bright and tonic wine bursts open with green notes of kiwi, lime and freshly cut grass. Those background citrus and white mineral aromas would make it perfect to pair with lightly fried calamari.

A luminous, linear and crisp white wine that offers Campania’s trademark mineral tones, white flowers and stone fruit. Its intensity and body could be edged up a notch although the mouth-cleansing acidity is there. Imported by Winebow.

Round, voluptuous and soft, this golden Falerno del Massico (made from an antique clone of Falanghina) delivers stone fruit, pear, grapefruit and tart citrus shadings. It tastes full and satisfying and is a modern interpretation of what the ancient Romans drank.

This is a fantastic expression of Greco that offers impressive richness, roundness and aromatic intensity. The wine opens with a bright, golden color and segues to aromas of pear, Golden Delicious apple and apricot. Behind those fruit tones are drying mineral notes that add balance and a touch of elegance.
