There’s a nice streamlined quality to this Amarone that comes forth as sassy spice, mature fruit, leather, moist pipe tobacco and toasted almond. In the mouth, it shows freshness and a thick, but compact feel.

This Ripasso feels less intense compared to past vintages and offers clean notes of black cherry, ripe blueberry, exotic spice, root beer and dried apple skin. The wine is smooth and supple with light smoke and mesquite on the fade.

Rather than vertical and direct aromas, this Amarone offers plush, broad ones that glide over the senses with vanilla-honey, powdered chocolate, black cherry and spice. American Tony Raimondi and his wife Lucia present a modern wine with good presence and endurance.

The protagonist here is oak, which is identified by overwhelming aromas of toast, vanilla, roasted almond, crème caramel, mesquite shavings and barbecue spice flavors. That’s not to say that the fruit is totally gone: Wade through the wood and you’ll find a healthy dose of fresh cherries at the back.

Here’s a wonderfully hedonistic ripasso with an extreme, modern style that emphasizes creamy chocolate, very ripe cherry fruit, fresh spice, tar, cola, resin, pipe tobacco and leather. True: it’s doesn’t follow close to Valpolicella tradition, but it’s luscious and delicious nonetheless.

Cherry, red apple, Indian spice, cedar and mesquite wood come forward to shape a gorgeous wine with extraordinary density and persistency. The tannins are polished and firm and there’s enough natural sweetness to make this a chewy and succulent wine, sip after sip.

Aged only in stainless steel in order to maintain its fresh fruit aromas, this is a simple, food-friendly wine that would pair with tuna or chicken salad. The wine is fresh, clean and short.

This classy Amarone spends 36 months in French oak to shape its compelling aromas of barbecue spice and soy sauce. There are background tones of cured meat, ripe berry and Indian spice that help color a long-lasting, soft and velvety mouthfeel.
