Year after year, this is one of our favorite Chardonnays from Northeast Italy. This year, however, there is an aromatic element out of place and the wine seems unable to deliver its bouquet with the same intensity. You do get exotic fruit and toasted nut but the wine really excels in the mouth thanks to its creamy, spicy flavors.

Peanut shell, ripe melon, rich mineral tones and a blast of something lactic give this wine aromatic latitude. Softer than other Pinot Grigios with a medium, mineral-like finish. Imported by Empson (USA) Ltd.

Offers rich, concentrated fruit with lovely apple and cream flavors, a touch of vanilla and superripe fruit. The aftertaste has a touch of acidity, but richness rather than acidity is what this wine is about.

Here’s a fresh and easygoing Friulano that counts consistency, persistency and texture as its strongest features. The wine is thick with glycerin and heft and although it offers straightforward aromas of honey and peach on the nose, its mouthfeel is actually very elegant.
