This brooding wine, shaped by the expert hands of consulting enologist Carlo Ferrini, exhibits thick, dense extraction and aromas of black cherry, blackberry, plums, prunes, leather, spice and tobacco. Its pieces fit together well, and the wine offers a pretty glimpse into the potential of Vino Nobile even in an uneven vintage like 2005.

This is an interesting and complex wine with distinctive tones of prune, plum, dried currant berry, molasses, maple syrup, cedar, dark caramel, black ink and spice. It offers weight and grit thanks to its thick density, extraction and wood aging. Simona Ruggeri Fabroni runs this all-woman winery with her daughters Anna and Margherita.
