Densely tannic wine, certainly not ready to drink, with dusty tannins over ripe fruit, powered by a dry core of minerality. The wine is solid, with structure first and rich fruit after.

From the Vista Alegre vineyard in the Pinhão valley, this Port is powerfully perfumed, with great black-cherry flavors and acidity. It has good structure, but is generally relatively simple and easy to appreciate.

Plums, black fruits and ripe raisins all blend to give this wine a fine, fruit-driven character. The downside to all this fruit is that there is little sense of structure, and this is a wine which needs to be drunk now.

This is dry, dense and raisiny, with dry tannins and acidity. Towards the aftertaste, the solidity of the wine is spoilt by a touch of green tannin. The name of the wine comes from the principal quinta owned by Barros Agricola near Pinhão.

A jammy, herbal flavored wine, which is well enough balanced but seems to lack much intensity. The fruit is soft, sweet with black jam flavors and a light touch of acidity. With just an extra touch of concentration, this would be a classic wine. The name of the wine comes from the principal quinta owned by Barros near Pinhão.

Big and ripe, the tannins well behind the rich fruit character. It is full in the mouth, offering bright spice, acidity as well as blackberry juice flavors. There is a stalky, drier edge to the finish.
