As is normal with Warre’s LBV, this is bottled with a sediment, meaning it can age in the bottle. It is beautifully balanced, the ripe flavors sitting comfortably with the core of acidity and dark tannins. There are dried fruits, raisins and sultanas, as well as fresher sweet plums.

Light in color, refined in the nose, and intense in the mouth. It’s packed with toffee, nuts, dried apricot and other delicious and sophisticated flavors. There’s dynamite fruit quality here, but it’s the creamy nuttiness on the palate and the finish that steals the show.

Traditional here means that this is bottled unfiltered, giving it a good aging ability. Bottled in 1999, this is smooth and velvety in texture, showing signs of maturity. It has many of the complex flavors of a vintage Port.

Warre’s seems to have found just the right formula for its tawnys. The 10-Year OldOtima is a fine wine, and so is this Otima 20. It has aromas of almonds, layers of acidity and sweetness, the flavor of bitter oranges, and a round, ripe aftertaste.

This is a huge, concentrated, dry wine, which is left very unbalanced by the burnt character and the dominance of the spirit. tThe acid ity, at least, leaves freshness.

A fine, perfumed wine with great fruit. It’s ripe, with lovely rich flavors and a backbone of firm tannins. This is a good, solid, classic wine. Imported by Vineyard Brands.

A floral wine, offering dusty tannins to go with its sweet crushed strawberry flavors. There are spice and black fig flavors as well as elegance—a sense of proper restraint just waiting to power out in maybe 10 years. At the moment, it is all fruit, but over time it will show more structure.

A lush, soft Port, with nutty aromas rounded out by scents of coffee and caramel. Caresses the palate with flavors of coffee and crème caramel, blending in a bit of orange peel on the finish. There's not a rough edge to be found.

A knockout of a 12-year-old tawny, with heavy, inviting caramel aromas and flavors. The color is still slightly rosy, showing that this wine has retained its fruity roots. Structured and weighty in the mouth, with notes of cloves and ginger throughout.
