The confectionary notes here are a bit over-the-top, with bubblegum and candied pineapple leading into candied ginger in the mouth. It’s crisp and light-to-medium-bodied, with a short, apricot finish. Drink up.

There’s an unusual, but not unappealing, collection of aromas here, from ginger and nutmeg to balsa wood, talcum powder and petroleum. A bit candied in the mouth, with a hit of cinnamon on the short finish. Drink up.

A selection from the Würzburger Innere Leiste, this wine offers something of a conundrum: the aromas and flavors are on one hand those of cooked or stewed fruit, while at the same time the wine is light-bodied, silky and vibrant. Worth a try.
