Sweet and perfumed nose, lots of oak with vanilla scents, but also funky and a bit musty, could be damaged; sweet and dense in the mouth, but also somewhat flat and two-dimensional; seems to be lacking some of the depth and nuances that define the better wines from this vineyard at this time in its history. Smoky nose, earthen scents mix with sweet fruit aromas for a dry and focused nose; ripe and rich in the mouth, loaded with lemony flavors; mouth-coating and a bit dense; long finish, lots of citrus fruit and sweetness are only marred by a slight bitterness at the end that unfortunately lingers.
