Smooth and fairly standard in the nose, with aromas of mint, caramel and wood-driven spice. The full wood treatment obscures the cherry fruit a little, but enough berry and cola emerges to salvage the palate.

This dark, medium- weight wine wears black chocolate, prune, tar and earth accents on dark fruit. Slightly low acidity makes it seem a little heavy. Closes with more dark flavors and hints of tobacco.
