Silly name but pretty good wine. A tidal wave of cherry/berry aromas is authentic, natural, youthful and floral. The palate is just as bright and bouncy, with red fruit running away with things. A touch of mineral and chocolate at the end gives it some darkness to match the vibrancy.

A country-style red made from Monastrell. The nose is chubby and deeply fruity, while the plump palate offers a wave or two of blackberry and currant flavors. Flush and full, and totally uncomplicated.

Perfectly drinkable Monastrell year after year despite the silly name. Plum and roasted berry aromas and flavors are sweet, ripe, clean and on the generic side of the fence. A little rugged and hot at 15%, but lusty and good for the price.

Basic and a little sweet and confected, but consider the price and you should be smiling. There’s some bramble and pepper to the nose, but mostly it’s just ripe and full of blackberry and black plum character. Candied and almost cloying, but remains flush and happy. Good in the midlevel category.
