Produced by South Africa’s Michael Back, flying winemaker Zelma Long and her winegrower husband Phillip Freese under the Simunye label, this wine displays simple aromas of warmed peas, cardamom and sweet cream. The palate and finish are couched in herbs and delicate citrus, with accents of sweet grass. —K.F.
