This is a merlot that drinks more like a cab. Intense fruit flavors, full bodied, yet super smooth. Don't listen to Miles from Sideways

Really interesing wine, smokey aroma, with nice spice and tartness on the palate. I'd never had this varietal, but it kind of reminded me of the bitterness/spicyness that I like in some syrahs. I would definitely buy this wine to go with food.

The tasting note said "citrus, stone fruits, & hazlenut" I was interested in the hazlenut, but really didn't taste it. Kind of disappointing, I mostly tasted lychee. Pretty much a one note wine for me. 1 Note

Not much aroma, but bright acidity and apple on the palate, very refreshing and dangerously easy to drink. I hadn't had pinto bianco before; I really liked it.

Alana Estate of Martinborough sources its Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc has a diverse citrus spectrum, the palate is fresh and packs all the fruits that is typical of aromatic Marlborough Sauvignon. For those who appreciate the finest Sauvigonon Blanc. 1 Note

Warm and dry, yet super soft on the palate. A little smoky. The black pepper aroma isn't overdone.

This Syrah is very nice with the full-bodied flavors of plum and dark cherries and hints of vanilla and toasted oak. It has a nice, long finish and it's powerful (14.6% alcohol). I love the aroma. This California Syrah is the reason why I won't ever love the French version more. Don't be fooled by the price ($8). This is a very nice table wine (when properly aerated) and is quite good with hearty entrees.
