Where did you grow up?
In paradise. Just south of Healdsburg near the confluence of Dry Creek and the Russian River. I did not know it was paradise until I traveled around the country and world. Summers swimming in the river fishing and hunting and mushrooming. I am so lucky.

What was the first time you remember drinking wine?

When did you start to like wine?
There are so many levels of wine appreciation. They evolved at different times of my career. But then I did things backwards. first I went to work in the industry, then inspiration, then formal education and more training.
