Red Carpet Champagne
Red Carpet Champagne
Hollywood, bubbly and glamour
Award-show season is in full swing and that means bubbly is abound. For 13 years, the Screen Actors Guild Awards have announced, “And the winner is…” with Champagne Taittinger.
That means backstage, in the green room and at the after-parties, they’ll be pouring Taittinger Brut La Française. This non-vintage Champagne, produced in the Champagne region of France has been commended for its elegance, creaminess, and finesse. And guess what? It’s not off-the-charts expensive, so you can throw some back at your viewing bash. It retails for under $60.
Now, if that’s too much to spend for your in-house party for a show that airs on cable, a less-expensive California sparkling wine cousin is Domaine Carneros Brut by Taittinger. It’s 100% Carneros appellation, but made using the same méthode champenoise of its French mentor, and it’s also delicious and elegant. It retails for $26.
The Screen Actors Guild Awards air live on January 29.
