Sip into summer with wine festivals and tastings

july_4th_03July means summer, and summer means getting outside and enjoying the warm weather while it lasts—an experience that can be made all the richer if you have a glass of good wine in hand. Here are some wine event highlights, and if you’re in the area, be sure to check them out.



Classic Harbor Line Refreshing Reds and Rosés, New York City, NY, July 2

15th Annual July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza, Paso Robles, CA, July 4

Spend Independence Day on the shore of Lake Travis as six Texas Hill Country wineries offer their best selections. Enjoy three hours of live local music, as well as a celebratory pig roast. Click here for tickets and information.


SIMI Winery Keep on Truckin’ Wednesdays, Healdsburg, CA, July 13

SIMI is also celebrating the arrival of chef Kolin Vazzoler and has opened its brick-oven Pizza Café to the public on Fridays and Saturdays. Click here for more information.

Romancing the Rhones Grand Tasting, San Francisco, CA, July 14

5th Annual Hudson Wine Festival, Hudson, OH, July 20 – 2 1

11th Annual Killington Wine Festival, Killington, VT, July 20 – 22

6th Annual Missouri Wine Festival, Excelsior Springs, MO, July 21

4th Annual University of San Diego Wine Classic, San Diego, CA, July 22

4th Annual SF Chefs, San Francisco, CA, July 30 – August 5
