Five Wines Inspired by Rock Music
Five Wines Inspired by Rock Music
Music in a bottle.
“A sleep trance, a dream dance. A shaped romance. Synchronicity.”
If classic rock doesn’t make you think of classic wine, it might be time to change your tune.
Lyrics from the famed Police classic Synchronicity guided the making of one of the wines in the Wines That Rock collection, a series of wines produced by winemaker Mark Beaman.
So if you want to channel your inner rocker or feel their music through a glass of vino, you’ve got five wines, each inspired by the sounds and lyrics of legendary rock, to choose from.
The Police—Synchronicity is a red wine blend of petite sirah, syrah, grenache and zinfandel.
The Rolling Stones—Forty Licks is merlot.
Grateful Dead—Steal Your Face is a red wine blend made of mostly syrah.
Pink Floyd—Dark Side of the Moon is cabernet sauvignon.
The famed rock event Woodstock comes in the form of chardonnay.
Each wine, bottled by the Mendocino Wine Company is $15, made with environmentally-friendly methods and a portion of the proceeds go to the T.J. Martell Foundation.
