Raise Your Paddle

May 29, 2011
Raise Your Paddle
Napa's most exclusive wines are yours for the taking in the most prestigious online wine auction.

old_wine_bottlesIn 1981 Robert Mondavi brought an idea to his fellow vintners to use the reputation of Napa Valley's wines to raise money for healthcare. There were about 75 wineries in the region back then, but the idea took root. Today, Napa Valley is home to more than 400 of America's most renowned wineries and, for 31 years, the regional trade association has hosted its Auction Napa Valley fundraiser. It's become the most successful charity wine auction in the world.

Beginning this Thursday June 2-5, hundreds will gather in the valley to celebrate wine, food and camaraderie in the natural beauty of this quintessential California hamlet--and to capture some incredible offerings from the vintners.

If you can't make it to Napa this coming week, you can still get in on the action: The global online E-Auction will offer incredible wine, cellar collections, vintner-hosted travel and more--all raising needed funds for charity. Opening today Sunday, May 29 at 8am and continuing until Sunday, June 5 at 6pm, log on to napavintners.com to view and bid on these outstanding wines and experiences--and make yourself feel good for helping raise needed funds for charity.
