Vita Vita White
Celebrate the season with pleasure
Summer’s best-kept secret? Vita Vita, a toast to life from one of the world’s most ancient wine regions -- Greece.
Produced on the cool slopes of Mt. Pangeon in Macedonia by Biblia Chora, one of the country’s most innovative organic wineries, the 2011 Vita Vita White is a crisp, lively blend of native assyrtiko and malagousia grapes blended with sauvignon blanc. Low-temperature fermentation in stainless steel ensures its fresh, white peach and grapefruit aromas with a hint of honeysuckle and mouthwatering acidity.
The elegant, well-balanced 2009 Vita Vita Red, a juicy combo of merlot, cabernet sauvignon and syrah, boasts rich, round black cherry and plum flavors with long, silky tannins, thanks to 12 months aging in French oak barrels. Pure pleasure at the celebrate-the-season price of $14 for the white and $16 for the red from specialist importer Cava Spiliadis, New York, NY.
