Stars & Stripes Forever

Stars & Stripes Forever
What's red and white and bubbly all over

chandonlimitededition_memorialday_400Wondering what kind of wine to pair with red, white and blue fireworks this July 4?

The perfect option might be the Chandon American Summer, a sleek white bottle wrapped in red and blue stripes. Inside, the bottles (187 milliliters or 750 milliliters) are filled with non-vintage Brut Classic, a crisp sparkling wine made mostly from chardonnay grapes, giving it a burst of clean, green apple flavor.

Designed by ButterflyCannon, the American Summer bottle is a tribute to this special season in the U.S., with its cookouts, boating parties, and patriotic holidays. While the bottle is called American Summer, we’re certain this sparkling wine would pair equally well with your French Bastille Day fête on July 14. It’s only available through September 1, so get it now while supplies last.

If you’re not only preparing for fireworks and bubbles, but a red, white, and blue themed party, you and yours might want to wear the blue and white striped romper that was inspired by the bottle, designed by New York-based Alice + Olivia ($352, find it here).
