Earth Day Live Tasting

Earth Day Live Tasting
Get a taste of several environmentally friendly Pinot Noirs.

screen_shot_2011-04-21_at_10.05.29_pmThanks to all who joined us for the live Earth Day tasting last night with Jean-Charles Boisset and Bottlenotes CEO/founder Alyssa Rapp. We enjoyed a wonderful selection of several single-vineyard DeLoach Pinot Noirs--and we also learned a heck of a lot about what it takes to produce a wine that's big on flavor and low on environmental impact.

Two hits of the tasting among those following along were the De Loach Sonoma Coast Le Roi Vineyard 2006 and the Sonoma Coast Van Der Kamp Vineyard 2006. The Green Valley 2007 from the Russian River Valley was another standout. You can also read the participants' comments and tasting notes on the DeLoach wines by using the Twitter tag #earthdaywine.

We hope you're looking forward to the next live tasting as much as we are. And if you have thoughts or suggestions as to what type(s) of wines we should taste next time, or how the format could be improved, please email us.

And remember, if you weren't able to join us and the hundreds of other folks tasting along and participating in the conversation, click here to get your own sampler pack of the De Loach Pinot Noirs from TastingRoom.com ($20 plus shipping), then click here to watch the video and taste along. Each of these wines, in full-size bottles, costs roughly $40-$60--so this is a great way to get a sense of what types of wines your taste buds prefer.
