Veneto-based producer crafts handbag wines

winepurseIt isn’t Chanel, but you can still think of it as a very classy purse.

If you need to tote wine in style, our vote is for Volére. The Italian collection features three sophisticated, spouted wine bags. You get all the benefits of boxed wine, including extended freshness and a lower carbon footprint, in a stylish short-handled purse.

Produced by Cantina di Soave in Italy’s well-known Delle Venezie region, the fruit-forward pinot grigio has aromas and flavors of apple and pear and comes in a pretty, two-toned cream handbag. The merlot-pinot noir blend is silky with notes of currant and vanilla that flow from a ruby red purse while the Volére Rosé is full of wild strawberry and rose petal notes that pour from a petal-pink purse.

The purses cost $14.99 each and hold 1.5 liters of wine. They are made with recyclable materials and contain a simple spout for easy entertaining. Just resist the urge to sip straight from the bag.
