Tasting Notes: Very deep and intense red in color. Because the grapes were picked at optimal ripeness, the aromas are forward, fresh, and complex, with black berries, cassis, cherry, and raspberries, complemented by spice, tobacco, and licorice. On the palate, the wine is full bodied and well structured, with firm yet supple tannins. Deep black fruit flavors are complemented by spice notes. The finish is long and soft. Tremendous aging potential.

  Castello Banfi Colvecchio Syrah - 2003

Tasting Notes: Very deep and intense ruby-red color with notes of violet. The bouquet is fresh with notes of spice, pipe tobacco, smoked meat, but also of berry fruit and jam.
