Over that time, there are three thi... (more...)ngs that have stayed true: producing superb wines that offer incredible values; crafting wines that are made to complement rather than overwhelm the dishes they are served with; and producing wines in a sustainable manner. There's a lot of history at Alexander Valley Vineyards, which is located on the property that was once the homestead of Cyrus Alexander, the 19th Century trapper and rancher for whom the valley is named. Cyrus' adobe as well as a schoolhouse he built in the 1800s were restored by the Wetzel family, owners of Alexander Valley Vineyards and remains on the property today. While Sin Zin is the most recognizable wine, they are best known for making excellent, affordable Cabernet Sauvignon that is a mainstay on wine lists at great restaurants around the country.
