Winery Story

The origin of the name Vieux Lazaret dates back to the 18th century when there existed in the centre of the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape ... (more...)a hospice or Lazaret. This is largest estate in Chateauneuf du Pape covering over 250 acres in 35 different parcels, with consequent complexity of soil types. Up to date winemaking techniques coupled with rigorous selection produce harmonious wines of great generosity. The Quiot family has owned vineyards in the region for over 200 years.

Tasting Note

It has a full, deep colour with the bouquet of black fruits and spice, with ripe fruit flavours, good length and well balanced tannins. The... (more...) wines can be preserved for 8 to 12 years according to the vintage.
