Tasting Note

Our 2007 Cabernet Franc is a lovely example of the variety, which has roots in the Bordeaux and Chinon regions in France. However, the 2007... (more...) “Lone Tree” is a more fruit and acid driven example of this old world variety. The aromatics of our 2007 are driven by cherry and red currant with a chorus of pumpkin spice, cinnamon, French oak, and mocha. This is one of those wines that I sometimes forget to drink. The flavor profile begins with genuine cola and strawberry flavors that transition to dry and tannic mid palate. The incredibly lengthy finish is dominated by cherry, tannin, and subtleties of sage beneath beautiful acidity.
