KWV started as a government-funded cooperative of winegrowers in the Western Cape in 1918. They disbanded after the end of Apartheid and bec... (more...)ame a publicly traded company. Today, these initials are synonymous with South African wine. Winemaker Richard Rowe and his team have been working to improve the quality of the wines and are experiencing great success.
