The 2007 Valtellina Superiore Quadrio is a delicious entry-level red from Nino Negri, one of the leading names in Valtellina. Red cherries, ... (more...)sweet herbs, spices and flowers emerge gracefully from this textured, finely-knit wine. There is enough stuffing to make me think at least several years of fine drinking lie ahead. Quadrio is predominantly Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo) with 10% Merlot. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2015.
