Tasting Note

This Supertuscan from Podere Ciona is decadent and feminine with aromas of spices, chocolate and toasted nuts. On the palate wild berries, i... (more...)ntense, medium-fine tannins and a prolonged concentrated finish. Aged 18 months in new and 2nd use French oak barriques and further aged at least 12 months in bottle. From Franco and Franca Gatteschi, one of our favorite Chianti estates, high on a hill in the heart of Tuscany![90% merlot with alicante bouschet]
