Tasting Note

The lastest and superb generation of winemakers make a wine with more latitude of expression but within the great history of Ruffino Tuscan ... (more...)wines. Based on Sangiovese, but blended with grapes outside the parameters of Chianti (20% each Merlot and Syrah.) The result is IL DUCALE. The Syrah adds pleasant spicy hints which intertwine with scents of undergrowth and Mediterranean herbs, characteristic of Sangiovese and with the softness and roundness of the Merlot.
