Sauvion Muscadet-2009

Tasting Note

Muscadet is both the region and the grape varietal used, the grape is also known as Melon de Bourgogne and is thought to originate in Burgun... (more...)dy. The best wines of the region are aged sur lie or on the lees (yeast cells left over from fermentation), the lees are often stirred to give the wines more richness and character. The wines have notes of green apple and lemon, the palate is light, crisp and dry.
