Sherry Lehmann's Pinot Noir-2007

Tasting Note

Sherry-Lehmann’s “house” Pinot Noir is made by our friend John Dyson, owner of William Selyem Winery [Russian River Valley... (more...), California] & Millbrook Winery [Hudson Valley, New York]. John is also a legendary viticulurist in the cool Central Coast California region where he owns Vista Verde— cultivating over 800 acres of premium varietals. Our Pinot Noir is made from Vista Verde grapes which were shipped from California to the Millbrook Winery in refrigerated trucks where they were crushed, pressed, fermented, aged and bottled. The Pinot clones used here are a special blend of “Dijon:” The resulting blend shows rich, ripe berry flavors with soft tannins from 9 months aging in French oak.
