Pronounced "Oomkooloo," this wine's name was inspired by the sheer size and scale of Africa: it means "the big one." Umkhulu represents a pe... (more...)rfect balance of age-old wine-making tradition and the wild spirit of Africa. The Umkhulu suite of wines has won several awards in its history, but the jewel in its crown is the Tian blend - awarded 90 points by Wine Spectator Magazine. Umkhulu wines are made exclusively for Cybercellar in Stellenbosch, an area renowned for its red wines and home to the earliest plantings of the Pinotage grape. Umkhulu also has one of the few South African Malbecs.
