When we started Wild Rock, we promised ourselves that we were going to make some of New Zealand's most distinctive and affordable wines. We ... (more...)weren't going to be insular. We weren't going to hunker down in one place and just make the best wines that we could from that place. Oh no. What we wanted to produce — and what we do produce — are wines that represent the best flavors of New Zealand, from north to south, east to west.

Tasting Note

This is the first rose that we have offered from New Zealand and it's delicious. A blend of lightly pressed merlot, malbec, syrah and pinot ... (more...)noir. After crushing the skins are removed and the wine is fermented as a white wine. This French winemaking tradition produces a fresh, clean, dry Rose that has flavors of strawberries and wild berries. Just think of all the wonderful dishes that this will match with. Salade Nicoise comes immediately to mind! "Crisp and tangy with dry refresing flavors." N.Y.Times
