Albert Morot Pinot Noir - 2004
March 14, 2010
Albert Morot (pictured) has made an absolutely smooth, off-dry Pinot Noir. It is Mahogany in color with an inviting aroma of plums and a bit of leather. Incredibly elegant for the price ($26). Light tannins and not incredibly complex, but I could definitely taste plum with accents of herb, spice and raisin, and the balance is nice. A solid fruity finish, I would recommend this to any lover of Pinot Noir. Warning: if you're used to California Pinot Noir, this fruity wine will be quite different.
