Notoriety Pinot Noir by Bottlenotes - 2009(PARTNER)

Notoriety Pinot Noir by Bottlenotes

Tasting Note

Notoriety Pinot Noir is made up of three clones of Pinot Noir, all from the Santa Lucia Highlands in Monterey, California. With a light ruby... (more...) rim and cherry core, Notoriety is full of bright, fresh fruit flavors, with just a touch of oak. Medium-bodied on the mid-palate, with a soft and sinewy mouthfeel, its lean, long finish, enables it to pair perfectly with a wide range of foods, especially mild cheeses. It also has the complexity and balance to drink well on its own. Blended by Team Bottlenotes.

This is a pretty solid Californa Pinot--and definitely the best Notoriety so far. It's got a great mix of ripe fruit flavors and oak, without being overly heavy or alcoholic. It also has a vibrant acidity that makes your mouth water for another sip. Good stuff.

I doubt it is a good idea to try to 'taste' like the critics . . . its misleading that one should follow a critics' tongueand convince oneself what you should like and what you should taste like . . . Better to take the critics comments as a guide and beg to agree or differ . . .

Everyone has different tastes preferences (aswe all comefrom different family background, different cultures, cuisines and preferences). So why should we 'clone our tastes' to like wines the same way as critics do . . . (can we imagine if all wines taste the same . . . in the vast world of wine, better there be varieties and better each have their own markets . . .)

Freedom of Expression - that's my take

Great cherry notes- black, red. Chewy, well-balanced. I think it's our best vintage of Notoriety Pinot Noir yet!
