A powerful and intense wine, which is evident right from the start with a powerful nose, at first the nose is funky and barnyardy, and one fears for the bottle, but then the butterfly emerges from the cocoon and the nose becomes rich and sweet with powerful chocolate and caramel aromas, dense and ripe with complex aromas of leather, earth, cassis, smoke; huge in the mouth with an almost port-like flavor and consistency of ripe black fruits, great ripe tannins, but at the same time good citrus fruit to add zest and freshness; deep and brooding at the end with a powerful grip on the palate.
