A deep and rich nose opens this wine, very aromatic and expressive with deep aromas of cassis and black fruits, touches of earth and spice, quite sweet; big and powerful in the mouth, real Latour muscle here; layers of black fruits with incursions of lemons and earthy thick tannins; very focused at the finish with an ending of ripe earthen fruit; still one of the best of this vintage at this stage of its life. (18/20) Tasted several more times this year; the good bottles were consistent, but there were some very tired bottles that were inferior.
