Always a top wine in the vintage, this bottle is right there; sweet and ripe nose that has the typical Latour red earth and brick aromas mixed with a mélange of spicy fruit, caramel and peppery highlights, more restrained than some, still a powerful nose; sweet and ripe in the mouth with layers of red and black fruits, plums and cherries predominate, but there is a presence of limes and lemons; nice tannins, but not as intense or brooding as some Latours can be; this is a friendly and hedonistic Latour.
